The confession of prince Sado by Lee Deokil was first published in 1998, and now the book became one of the bestselling books on Korean history field. The death of prince Sado is the most famous historic accident in Chosun. The prince was sentenced to death by the father King, Youngjo. Finally he was died in big rice chest for seven days. After that there were several opinions around the death in Korean history.
The author of book, Mr. Lee, criticized Hanjungrok(The memoirs of Lady Hyegyong) have the critical falses. He asserted Lady Hyegyong, the author of Hanjungrok, made the fiction for her parent’s family and the politiacl party, Noron老論, not for her husband prince Sado. However his opinion have big mistakes. He made several critical mistakes discribing the accident as a history. The book looks like a history, but really not a history, just a fiction. The history for mass like the book should not be the model.
