To understand the characteristics of upstream of Seom River which is the tributary of Han-river basin in Korea, the experimental watershed has been operated for 10 years since 2001. The measurements are rainfall, water stage, soil moisture, and ground water level including water quantity which enable to creating rating curves at 3 gage stations. The time series of water stages are transformed into water quantities by the developed rating curves which enable to evaluate the river environment. The measurements of reliable hydrological and hydraulic quantities of 10-minute interval of time series with high quality in upstream of river basin enable to calibrate and verify the model development in hydraulic and hydrological areas. The data have been used in understanding of rainfall-runoff structures, hydrological circulation, and hydrological abstract analyses by providing hydrological and hydraulic information. Experimental watershed has 2 tributaries and main stream and has various measuring stations of 3-water stage, 3-rainfall, and 6-groundwater over the watershed. The experimental watershed composed of 10 % of crop area and 90% of forest has 164.81 km2 of area, 22.4km of stream length, and 5.97 % of average stream slope. To ensure the high quality of measurements the uncertainty analyses have been evaluated which result in fair and good data acquirement. The creating measurements were published in website and also provided by compact diskette.
