A civil complaints against urban transit noise are increasing continuously according as urban transit passes center of the city. Also the noise standard will be strict after in 2010. Therefore the methods for reduction urban transit noise is needed as soon as possible.
This study is the part of project to develop noise absorbing plate for rolling noise reduction on concrete track of urban transit. Noise is measured by site types such as flat, bridge and tunnel on field to analyze noise characteristic, and also is measured indoor urban transit at bridge.
The dominant frequency of urban transit at flat area is mid-frequency. The material of noise absorbing plate have to reduce mid-frequency for reducing the rolling noise of urban transit at flat area. In conclusion, for development of the material of noise absorbing plate, absorption coefficient have to improve especially for mid-frequency by conducting material performance tests and reverberation test.
