Repairable items of railroad vehicle are recycling parts after maintenance without abolishment. Repairable items should be effectively managed because the price is high and it affects to the availability of railroad vehicle in case of lack of spare parts.
Generally, specific ID number is given to each repairable items and their histories are managed. However, it need much time and effort to input exact data. Even though bar-cord is introduced and partly applied to overcome the weakness, it is not extensively used due to limited data and weak of durability.
RFID(Radio Frequency Identification) tag, one of automatic tags is recognized as a technology for the automatized inventory management of items. In this study, we deal with possibility and method to adapt historical management for repairable items of railroad vehicle with RFID technology.
