A perforated circular plate has been widely used in engineering structures such as nozzles, missiles, aircraft and reactor internal. Especially, the reactor internal with multi circular holes could be exposed to the internal loads caused by coolant flows. The structural characteristics caused by the perforations in the circular plate have been accounted for by the effective material properties. This paper presents the parametric studies which include thickness, P/D(pitch of diameter), corner effect and boundary conditions about the perforated circular plate. This study also describes a 3-D solid equivalent dynamic model updated the effective modulus and the poisson's ratio using the sub-problem optimization scheme.
