Thermal design is very important parameter when we make flat panel display device. Instead of a cathode ray tube(CRT), this model uses a plasma display panel technology to show images.
Thermal design of large flat panel display using plasma display panel must be eliminate local temperature increase and had a good reliability. This paper aim at present thermal design guide to designer when make flat panel display devices. Numerical analysis results using commercial CFD code were in agreement with experimental result for the same conditions.
