The purpose of this paper is to examine the problems relating the e-trade metamediary in the Korea Foreign Trade Act, and to propose its improvement plans.
For this purpose, the paper is organised as follows. Chapter Ⅱ considers the concept, necessity and role of the e-trade metamediary in electronic trade. Chapter Ⅲ considers the problems of provisions relating the e-trade metametiary in Korea Foreign Trade Act, for example the problems relating definition provisions, appointment criteria, business areas of the e-trade metamediary. Chapter Ⅳ considers proposals for improving the provisions relating e-trade metamediary in Korea Foreign Trade Act.
In conclusion, it is necessary to introduce the definition provisions of e-trade metametiary in Korean Foreign Trade Act and differentiate its appointment criteria from the existing e-marketplaces. And it should give the e-trade metamediary to the rights of the electronic certification services.
