Vietnam has been raised as a new promising foreign capital investment area. It is because it has abundant natural resources, low cost labor, large domestic market by 75,000,000 population, hub depot for exporting to EU and USA.
The economic exchange between Korea and Vietnam has been expanded rapidly since 1980, due to Vietnam's "Doimoi" and Korean government's northen policy. Korea has invested 4,306 million dollars (total 693 cases, March 2004), and ranked forth among foreign investment countries to Vietnam. Especially, Vietnam's industry structure can be very complement with Korea, and thus Vietnam market can be attractive foreign investment area.
This study tries to analyze Vietnam investment environment, foreign direct investment trends, and data are collected from the Korean companies in Vietnam. Based on the above analysis, this study seeks to the effective investment strategies to Vietnam.
