Border procedures should be able to achieve the two conflicting goals of facilitating trade and minimizing the possibility of illicit activities at the same time.
The ultimate purpose of the trade facilitation is to eliminate costs that arise from border procedures while that of the minimization of the possibility of illicit activities is to achieve benefits and protection of laws applied to border procedures.
This Study analysis of the current border procedures of Korea as that various systems and institutions are short of achieving the said two goals, and provides several ideas as solutions.
