Precast concrete system was developed to rebuild destroyed cities after World WarⅠ(1914~1918). The way of construction, that is members are prefabricated, shortened the construction period than before.
Once, It went downhill soon since they began to focus on developing the construction of the high stories buildings. Moreover, connection problems lead the customer's complaints. But nowadays, precast concrete system is applying to parking lot, stadium and big-supermarket to construct them more faster. Especially, double-tee slab system(DTS System) and hollow core slab system have been effectively applied to. But as the scale of recent projects are getting larger, it is necessary to develop the other type of slab systems. Multi-tee Slab System(MTS System) is developed for overcoming the shortages in DTS system and hollow core system that we are currently using.
Steel stirrup is widely used for shear reinforcement concrete structure. Recently, but it leads to the usual consequence of higher cost and delay of construction completion. In this paper, wire mesh that substitute the stirrups is studied.
We conducted two types of experiments. First we used to wire mesh instead of stirrups and we studied how the location of reinforcing material effects the performance. Second we assessed unit of the MTS for estimating their capacities. In this paper, we predicted that performance and efficiency of this system and reinforcement using the results from the experiments and research.
