In the structural design of high-rise buildings, the stiffness of a structure generally acts as a governing factor. Many methods has been researched on the stiffness designs of high-rise buildings. One of them is a resizing method to control the stiffness of a structure through resizing the sectional area of elements consisting of a structure without the installation of additional devices. The results of various researches showed that this method could increase the stiffness and frequency of a structure through effectively distributing the weight of a structure. On the other hand, the control of wind-induced response for high-rise buildings is one of critical issues in the field of construction. According to existing researches, the wind-induced response of high-rise buildings generally shows a inversely proportional relationship with the frequency of the structure. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of controlling wind-induced response of resizing method for high-rise buildings. In this study, wind-induced response of a structure is evaluated using the data of wind tunnel test.
