Recently, the toilet of highway rest area, railway station has been changed to the space from unclean, uncomfortable and unavoidable entering area to clean, comfortable and usable facility area.
Because the toilet which installed on train is used by a number of passenger, the design for toilet shall be proceeded to meet the variety needs of passenger. So, all facility items shall be installed on suitable position of toilet for passenger's convenience. Especially, the facility items for old and week, pregnant person shall be considered in advance. Also, the safety items shall be additionally applied to the toilet for disabled person. Finally, fire safety and HVAC components have to be applied to the toilet of train because of not opened area.
In this study, the design of toilet for considering passenger's convenience, safety and so on is described on this paper refer to relevant regulations of domestic and international.
