The cost allocation in cogeneration or CHP is to divide the overall input costs of direct and indirect into the output costs of electricity and heat, which is very important because this methodology is directly connected with the profit and loss between producer and purchaser. In the cost allocation methodology, there are the alternative methods such as proportional method, work method, equal distribution method, and benefit distribution method, and there are the thermodynamic methods such as energy method and exergy method. The aim of this study is to suggest a new alternative method. Each cost of electricity and heat produced in the ten kinds of cogenerations was estimated by the suggested method, and the results were compared and discussed with the conventional methods. As the result, the tendency of the suggested method and the exergy method was almost coincided, and the difference was about 0.5%. Therefore, it can be that the suggested method has rationality enough.
