Road tunnel ventilation are classified the longitudinal ventilation system and transverse ventilation system. Transverse ventilation system is applied to urban tunnel mainly. Transverse ventilation system applied presently is designed with supply or exhaust port of small size and assumed that port flow rate is uniform in whole tunnel. But, because supply or exhaust air flow rate is influenced opening rate of port and traffic flow characteristics, it is difficult in real condition that get uniform flow rate.
In this study, developed the program which calculate the velocity and the pressure distribution of duct and road tunnel with transverse ventilation system, compared the results of developed program and the results of numerical simulation. The flow characteristics in duct and tunnel of semi transverse ventilation system are investigated.
