This article shows that how the Nam-Myoung school's junior scholars made a succession to Nam-Myoung Spirit. In the 16th-century's political disorder period, Nam-Myoung would have a choice of the life of a retired scholar and live a retired life, and his final place of arrival(大畜地)was Duk-San(德山) in which Mt. Ji-Ri's Chun-Wang-Bong is seen. Nam-Myoung retired to his hermitage in Mt. Ji-Ri and would reach the stage of the Heavenly Way(天道) or Seong(誠) through Chun-Wang-Bong which heavens have a touch with. In this way, Nam-Myoung has a indivisible relation to Mt. Ji-Ri, making a completion of his own learning and spirit world, and his spirit handed down to his junior scholars continuously.
The literary works in which Nam-Myoung school's scholars made a trip of Mt. Ji-Ri and wrote about it showed that the scholars adored Nam-Myoung and had a consciousness of the Nam-Myoung spirit's succession, and their aspects are divided several ways. Firstly, Having a trip of Mt. Ji-Ri, They aim at invincible spirit like a sheer cliff(千?壁立) which Nam-Myoung had pursued, climbing Chun-Wang-Bong, getting to the Heavenly Way, having an attitude of seeker after truth, Secondly, Having a trip, they have a self-reflection of building up their mind such as 'keeping on doing good is climbing mountain'(從善如登)' furthermore extending it to the theory of scholarly activity such as 'having a trip of a mountain is reading a book'(遊山如讀書). Thirdly, like Nam-Myoung, getting to the relics of Han Yoo-Han(韓惟漢)ㆍChung Yeo-Chang(鄭汝昌), they sigh out their grief about a sage's life and a outrageous power, refreshing their historical recognition.
