The article aims at seeking how individual identity is made in the digital era. For this purpose, I propose to enlarge the scope of digital process beyond internet network. The digital process designate the total change of society in viewpoint of inter-personal exchange. It means that we should analyze transformation of economy and human inter-relationship. (superstructure)
Nevertheless, the thesis of dual structure of human consciousness is rejected in this article. Even though internet space give us new possibility of recreating self, nature of self can not be divided into two elements; real and hyperreal. According to the philosophy of Bergson, it is the body that mediate the human nature between real and hyperreal. So it is exaggerating to assert dual structure of human consciousness like some theorists.
By the way, we cannot overemphasize the importance of education in digital era for the new social ethic. New model of education should contain the program not ony for enhancing reflexive competence but also for creating new sensibility of aesthetic criticism.
