Gwon, Gi-ok was not only the supporter of the national independence movement, but the first woman fighter pilot. She was the first Korean heroin who flied the continent. In addition, she was the new woman who opened new area in the range of women's activity, networking and the aspect of practice in the colonial period. Consequently, her life clearly presented the relation between 'a modem woman and a colony'. Moreover, through her life, it is possible to restore the period that most supporters of the national independence movement lived together in a side street in Shanghai or Nanjing, although they revealed some differences in their ideologies or lines during the process of the national independence movement in the colonial period.
