The purpose of this study was to examine the relationship between flow experience and intention to continuance according to participation motivation of waterskier For accomplishing this purpose of the study, the 255 subjects were selected by the stratified cluster ramdom sampling method from the participants in jazzercise located in Seoul and Kyong-gi, In-chun. The survey questionnaires were used to collect data. The questionnaire for motivation of waterskier participants were based on SMS-28(Sport Motivation Scale) developed by Vallerand(1992) and LIM(leisure Intrinsic Motivation) developed by Wessinger and Bandalos(1995), adapted in Korean and standardization by Jung(1997), Flow experience of waterskier participants was based on ESCM(Expansion of Sport Commitment Model) developed by Scanlan(1993), adapted in Korean and standardization by Jung(1997), And, questioning intention to continuance based on questionnaire had a used in the study by Seo(2003). The statistical methods utilized in this study for analyzing the collected data were reliability analysis, descriptive statistics, one-way ANOVA and standard multiple regression analysis. From the analysis of this study, the following conclusions were obtained.
Firstly, participation motivation, flow experience and intention to continuance of waterskier participants partially different by socio-demographic characteristics variable. Secondly, the participation motivation of waterskier participants is influence on flow experience. Thirdly, the participation motivation of waterskier participants is influence on intention to continuance. Finally, the flow experience of waterskier participants is influence on intention to continuance.
