The Purpose of the study is to see if we could find ways improving streetscape of the Special Tourist Zone by analyzing visitor’s point of view such as urban image survey, observing visitors’ behavior.
According to theory consideration, Special Tourist Zone must have to be different with other street of urban and exist with character and identity of place, and it is done not only variety activities but 'social activity' that is formed community in the street. A study is progressed by Semantic Differential method for streetscape image of each place by questionary survey and observation method of behavior of the visitors in the street by made a film. In result, In spite of that the streets of Special Tourist Zone must have to be different with other street of urban and exist with character and identity of place, The Visitor of the Special Tourist Zone doesn't appreciate that there are many impressive streets. by way of example, 'Myoung-Dong Special Tourist Zone', it lacks distinction in comparison with other street of urban, because Myoung-Dong zone ceases from street design by expand the facilities in street and alter the material of street. And all of the 3 street doesn't support to the 'social activity'.
This Result gives that reorganization of typical street of Special Tourist Zone have no consideration for character by tourist place. For this reason, it comes hard to do offer the impression why there is a characteristic only for a city to visitors, and then it will be the possibility of Re-visit of visitors lowers.
