The natural herbal antimicrobial additive WK02 was developed by Zoonosis Research Center of Wonkwang University. It was assessed for the antibacterial effects against enteropathogenic E. coli infection. This study was conducted on the male piglets in the animal facility of Center for Animal Resources Development, Wonkwang University. The animals were divided with four groups; Negative control group, E. coli-infected positive control group, and the natural herbal antimicrobial additive treated two dosed groups with E. coli infection. During the study period, we compared clinical signs, weight increase rate, fecal scores, gross findings between the treated group and non treated group. After necropsy, necropsy findings and histopathological findings were conducted for the comparison between the groups. As the results of this study, the natural herbal antimicrobial additive showed the effects on the suppression of E. coli-induced lesions. On the basis of this study’s results, our data suggest that the natural herbal antimicrobial additive WK02 have the anti-bacterial effects.
