This film has a mythic structure which is functioned in stories like 'returned hero myth', 'childbearing virgin myth', 'universe creation myth' , etc.. Protagonist Antonia was return home, sew the fieldes, made a new blood line, The story that she rebuilds a family is repeated in cosmos drama that how mankind starts a life in this world, The creator in creation of uni verse is depicted as man, however this film shows the fact that woman is the beginning of the history which reflects a feministic perspective. When a priest condemned what Antonia and Daniella found a fiance, Baz and Antonia reprimanded the priest through framing up. The sermon was changed by praising saint mother Maria, the face of Maria in statue is going to be smile, and all the fantasies of Daniella's mind screen is described into that which is changed to Maria-Woman centered Christianity to Jesus-Man centered Christianity. This film shows birth scene many times, however it is seen by which is produced by virgin without a man.
The seemingly opposing elements are men/women, inwardly it is life and death. The important clue to uniting life and death is like Antonia's dialogue of "the dance that I played is the only dance in the earth, Life is only in the living". The central motif in this film is death and its unbreakable man's pessimistic view. Death is represented by Church and Crook Finger character. What a young priest is out through Church is the conflict of life and death. The background of Crook Finger' thought is successive to the thought from Plato to Schopenhauer, to Nietsche. On the contrary Antonia stresses the life, the voluntary side through defiance against pessimism.
