In this paper, I tried to interpret the idea of healing in Huangdineijing (黃帝內經) as ancient chinese medical canon. From late warring states to early Han, medical thoughts have been interwoven with various patterns of cosmological beliefs. Among them, there are various thoughts focused on the resonance(感應). The Taoist's nature, as the ultimate divine reality, moves constantly without deliberate purpose. Heaven-nature(天), yin-yang(陰陽), and the five phases(五行) are the fundamental notions in such order of the divine nature.
Huangdineijing is founded upon Huang-Lao's cosmology. The major thoughts in Huangdineijing are self-cultivation, healing body, and nourishing life. According to the book, the principle of resonance of the qi(氣) has been adapted into the analogy of the state bureaucracy, reflecting the harmonious and hierarchical system of the individual organs within the body. In addition to such thoughts, Huangdineijing includes shenxian (神仙) thoughts and ancient medical traditions, as we see in the Mawangdui(馬王堆) and Zhangjiashan(張家山) medical silk manuscripts. This reflects the unification of the religious salvation and medical healings in Huang-Lao's correlative cosmology. Huangdineijing's idea of healing can compared to Eliade's concept of religion that is the cosmic situated arts. Therefore Huangdineijing's world-views are based upon comprehensively healing human beings including body and state in the constant resonance of divine nature.
