'Dae-Bang building' is new structural style in Seoul and Kyongki province's royal buddhist temples in the 19 century of Cho-Sun. This study is to look into the modem inclination in 'Dae-Bang building' from the viewpoint of three parts; ideology&sociology, function, and the technique. As a result of this study, we could know the modernity in 'Bee-bang building' as follows. From a functional point of view, it has big functional changes and multiple functions such as preaching, mediation, dining, nunnery and introduce reception room and storage. From a technical point of view, we could look into the construction method of palace and pavilion in ㅓ, 工 type of 'Dae-Bang building', and the other modem characters such as simple bracket arms and lattice.
