The meaning function of ‘-seo( 서)’ premises that, according to its distribution context, it is adhered to a subjective noun phrase and an adverbial noun phrase, and then they all become a presupposition(basis or context) of description for the subjective object. A discussion on this subject can be summarized as follows:
First, it premises that ‘-seo( 서)’ in ‘-kkeseo( 께서)’, which is adhered in back of a subjective noun phrase, becomes a presupposition(basis or context) of description for a subjective object, ‘-seo( 서)’ in the postpositional word ‘-(i)seo(( 이) 서)’ becomes a presupposition(basis or context) of description for a subjective object, in back of a noun phrase representing [+number], and also ‘-seo( 서)’ in the postpositional word ‘-eseo( 에서)’ becomes a presupposition(basis or context) of description for a subjective object, in back of a [+group(단체)] noun phrase.
Second, ‘-seo( 서)’ in the postpositional word ‘-eseo( 에서)’, which is placed in back of an adverbial noun phrase, is used when it, at the back of a noun phrase having the meaning of [+location], [+base] and [+comparative criterion], premises a subjective object carrying [+person], [+specific-ness] and [concreteness] being equivalent to a declinable word. And ‘-seo( 서)’ in the postpositional word ‘-egeseo( 에게서)’ is used when it premises the meaning of [-the action subject] for a subject noun phrase holding [+limitedness], [+specific-ness] and [+concreteness] corresponding to the declinable word of [+movement-ness] and [+passive-ness]. In addition, the postpositional word is, in back of an adverbial noun phrase, is used when a subjective object holding [+person], [+specific-ness] and [+specific-ness] corresponding to a declinable word of [+movement-ness] premises the meaning of [+status], [+qualification] and [+beginning].
