In this study, we suggested the contribution of aerosol direct forcing to the observed trend of spring precipitation in East Asia, especially in China. Though there is a discrepancy over some regions, the main parts of anomalous precipitation induced by all aerosol forcing are similar to that of the observed trend, i.e., decreased precipitation in central China and increased precipitation in southern China.
