This report summarizes recent status of flowering regulation and breeding for important ornamentals in Taiwan. Year- round production of Chrysanthemum and Phalaenopsis is achieved by selecting cultivars and controlling environments. Flowering of Poinsettia is mainly regulated by controlling photoperiod to fulfill the demands for festival markets in October, December and January. Growers can force potted hydrangeas to flower for New Year markets by transporting plants in late summer to highland fields, then defoliating and cold storage, and ... 전체 초록 보기
