This study explores the impacts of self-leadership both on motivation and re-participation of convention volunteers. The theoretical study about self-leadership was conducted based on literary reviews and the analysis was conducted through the research model and hypothesis that were formulated according to the study's objectives. The survey was conducted among volunteers who participated in 2005 APEC summits meeting. Three hundred and three(303) valid samples were analyzed using SPSS 12.0.
As the result of analysis, all hypothesis were accepted or partially accepted. The followings are the suggestions derived from the analysis:
First, self-leadership was shown to have influence on each factor; and therefore, the grounded knowledge education program for the volunteers should consider including self-leadership improvement program. Second, the groups with interests in convention business had higher rates of self-leadership and intention of re-participation; and therefore, an extension of the convention grounded knowledge education for public is needed.
