This study is focused on regional integration between countries in the Asia and Pacific region in the field of tourism industry. Many countries in Asia have regarded as developing countries and their economic growth is slower than many developed countries. Developing countries have joined various regional trade agreements rather than multilateral trade agreements. It is because multilateral trade agreements such as GATT, WTO and GATS have been known as trade agreements which are designed to be more favorable to developed countries. For this reason, developing countries tend to form regional trade agreements with countries where have similar economic and political environment to be able to compete with developed countries mainly in Europe and America. Therefore, it is necessary to examine benefits and problems of joining regional agreements to establish inter-city network between countries in the region. In recent years, tourism has been one of the most recognised industries to share common interests in the Asian society due to Korean soap opera which can be a door to trade between countries in Asia. In order to improve economic performance as well as political relationship between countries in Asia, tourism can be an important tool in the future.
