Machinery Industry of Korea has been developing from the end 1960s of the second five-year economic development plan. In 2005, this industry ranked fourth in amount of export. In this a point of time that it has increased world's competitiveness, it is necessary to analyze industry competiveness and technological competitiveness and to search efficient development plans. So RCA(Revealed Comparative Advantage), TSI(Trade Specification Index) and export ratios out of production are used to analyze machinery industry competitiveness. RCA-TSI graph is appled to classify into competitive goods and noncompetitive goods. The methodologies of technological competitiveness analysis and the results of a survey with companies are introduced.
