We have to develop the integrated textbook necessarily by Korean language education's internal and external requests. Then the development of effective integrated textbook in Korean language education need systematizing its components. The integration's objects can be aim, experience, genre and activity. And the integration's method of each object can be 'aim's integration by problem solving', 'experience's integration by bringing up situation', 'genre's integration by bringing up intertextuality' and 'activity's integration by project learning model'.
The systemization of integrated textbook's components can be applied to the theme-centered integration in Korean language education. It is suitable to organize various activities and contents about language. And it also use contexts and materials of daily life easily. I suggest usual design model of theme-centered integrated unit to apply integration's methods. ①Choosing a theme ②Making a network of sub-thema(Establishing a problem) ③Organizing aims and contents ④Establishing a situation ⑤Choosing texts and Planning activities(Planning a project learning) ⑥Planning a evaluation
