The study of color is important because color have a relative relationship with the status of the given time as well as being a reflection of the sense and tastes of a culture.
This study examined the colors from the Hwalot artifacts on which color measurement was approved for an empirical study of the colors of the Hwalot that used color the most. The features of the measured colorswere then analyzed and compared.
A chromameter was used on the areas in which the colors could be measured with a color meter. Small areas, for example, areas with color in embroidered patterns, were checked visually.
According to the results, the color of the outer fabric of the Hwalot of Princess Bokon was a red color of the measurement 6.6R 7.1/10.2 and that of the inner fabric was blue, with a measurement of 2.8PB 7.5/10.8. Each Hwalot artifact displayed a different arrangement of colors in the multi-colored stripes composed of yellow, blue, red and white.
