This research studies the establishment and activity of Chosun Sport Promotion Association(CSPA) focused on the establishment, organization, and activities of CSPA. As a result, the gollowing can be concluded.
CSPA was establishment to foster the Empire subjects which were helpful for improving the war force by controlling various sport activities in Chosun in wartime according to the policy of the Japanese Government-General of Chosun in 14 February, 1942.
Organization of CSPA consisted of members throughout government, school, people related to the press and men of great wealth, and they decided the key items on meeting by attending director' meeting. And the finance was managed by membership fees that collected as donations by supporting meeting consisted of the rich and others.
Activity of CSPA held Chosunsingung Athletic Meeting and Test of Physical Strength to accomplish the purpose of the association. And their activities were performed as national sports event to perform a war in wartime of Second War. However, the 18th competition in 1942 was the last one for Chosunsingung Athletic Meeting according to the previous research. In fact, new fact revealed that it was held until 20th competition in October, 1944.
