This paper focuses on gender-role of educational institution and physical education in Korea. The following are principal points.
First, bisexual equality on korean educational policy and system has had many developments. Furthermore many part of law had results. And combining 'manual training' course with 'home' course, which had shown a typical fixed idea of gender-role, can be understood positively. However, stories or figures in a textbook still shows traditional separation of gender-role which are, for example, distinct features of father and mother, idea of predominance of men over women, and emphasizing traditional image of women.
Second, leisure activity of boy students has large ratio on physical activity like sport activity, on the other hand leisure activity of girl students has large ratio on sentimental view and sentimental part. This is caused since sport activity has manly tendency and girl students join hardly because of fixed idea of gender role. Hence girl students lose interest on sport activity and on participation in the activity.
Construction of ideal society starts from individuals. It will fail if people do not change their recognitions even there are good policies and systems. Therefore this paper especially emphasize on reforming individual's recognitions of gender role at educational institution.
