This study is about the background, the time that Changhe?Shi(唱和詩) was made and how it was developed. Changhe?Shi had been developed with the concept of collective poems which could be harmonized together. This type of poem was based on the literary trend which chooses a topic as considering another following poem such as Zengda?Shi(贈 答詩), Tongti?Shi(同題詩) or Euigo?Shi(擬古詩).
Changhe?Shi was first made by Tao?Yuanming(陶淵明) of Dongjin Dynasty(東晉). When it comes to the trend, Zengda?Shi(贈答詩) was the main stream which most literary men had used. But it became so much formalized that the type of Changhe?Shi took the place of the main role. At the period of Jin and Song Dynasty(晉宋) when Zengda?Shi(贈答詩) had been declined, it was the very period of Changhe?Shi developed by Tao?Yuanming and others.
As we looked through, Changhe?Shi at the beginning was a factor that the writer could express some emotional similarity through the response to Chang?Shi. Also it helped other writers have their own literary ability as learning, admiring or competing with other works and it was one of means to strengthen the unification among writers who were on the same position.
He?Shi(和詩) at the beginning was considered to answer to the Chang?Shi(唱詩). But after the middle of Tang(唐), Heyun ?Shi(和韻詩) which emphasized on rhyme of Chang? Shi was developed.
