This research would provide the location of Apartment Site Development and prove to depend on different characteristics of development character in 1990s' metropolitan Seoul. In particular it shows the methods of management in urban planning. The method of this research was based on statistics as factors concerned with synopsis, physical characteristic, location, development characteristic, physical environment and surrounding environment. Considering the result of this analysis, firstly the location of station and the surrounding area have differences in physical characteristics, Secondly the development of apartment was developed as large as possible by upper middle housing size. Thirdly apartment sites are located in out of city boundaries. Fifthly the development density of sites have been increasing. Lastly there are differences between the public sector and the civilian sector in development characteristics. In this regard, following the development of apartment sites, it should be emphasized that concept of compact city by spatial structure. The site plan should be changed to a multi-nuclei urban shaped, it suitable for location characteristics and characteristics with a distinct site plan.
