In a city, it is very important to project the future population growth precisely, because it is a leading indicator of all parts in master plan. For example, all plans about land use, housing policy, industrial development. social development, etc. are completely based on it. But projecting is too hard and complicate to consider all factors affecting population growth. So this study focuses on the movement of population, especially, the intercity migration.
In this study, first, we verify population projection of Pusan and adjoining regions, in their past master plan. Second, we apply system-dynamics method to population projection by making of migration model. In the model, intercity migration, which has been passed over, is included as important variable. And then by using this model, we try to project future population of Pusan.
