The Imported Liquified Petroleum Gas generally stored in a large scale storage site which located suburban area to help the delivery to the consuming cities. The stored LPG delivers to the refill or charging station by tank-lorry. Nearby area of such storage sites generally surrounded by community activities such as housing or commercial facilities and growing their uses with population.
In case of major accident from such storage site. the damage could be enormous. Therefore such hazardous situation need to be assessed with It’s risks and identify possibilities of accidents happening to protect or minimize the damage effect to the community.
The study examine the probability of accident and consequence from hazardous facilities to the communities nearby in case of major accidents by using IAEA(International Atomic Energy Agency)’s risk screening tool.
It also assess the damage effect and prioritization of damage effects to the surround community activities by approaching individual and societal risk concept though the case study.
