This 'study aims to identify the degree of dwellers' satisfaction with service facilities of urban housing complexes. Three categories are classified based on household size(3,000) and site location : the large-sized site, the continuous small-to-medium-sized site having a common boundary and the separate small-to-medium-sized site. And the possibility of introducing the performance standard is examined.
In consequence, firstly, facilities which the dwellers think important are commercial and medical facilities in the large-sized site, and commercial, parking, outdoor sports facilities, the place to rest and public library in the continuous small-to-medium-sized site, and park in the separate small-to-medium sized site.
Secondly, In the large-sized site, the dwellers are generally content with the facilities, but the dwellers in the separate small-to-medium sized site have much discontent to them. In the continuous small-to-medium-sized site, the upper-hierarchical facilities (ex : office, super-market and so on) are not equipped. So the dwellers in it have much discontent to the absence of them.
Thirdly, the facilities which the dwellers want to be equipped are generally environmentally sound facilities, and the equipment standards about those need to be studied.
To meet this problem, performance standard is discussed. To do this system, inter-site flexibility, spatial flexibility and ownership flexibility are important element.
