The purpose of this paper is to investigate the distributional characteristics of the mixed land use pattern frequently observed.
The entropy principle is adopted to measure the levels of decompositions of land uses. Two types of entropy values are calculated using the land use data of CBD in Daejeon City. The results are follows ;
First, entropy approach is one of the useful tools for analyzing the mixed land use pattern. Second, the ranks of decomposition levels of land uses in study area are given. Finally, entropy values will be one of the indicators for land use guidance system.
