The study aims to suggest semi-functional community senior welfare facilities through efficiency of integrating locational advantages and facilities of the existing public health centers since semi-functional facilities connecting with various seniors welfare facilities in the community are needed through integrating the existing public health centers and seniors welfare facilities in an aging society.
The study researched into the necessity of integration of public health centers and senior welfare centers through analyzing relevant literatures, preliminary studies and the government's policy materials. Based on these, the study suggested its activation plans by reorganizing the size standard of those facilities according to the conditions of our country.
Accordingly, in a future plan for local public health centers, it is necessary to consider integration with senior welfare centers. In addition, this is one of important community facilities in terms of securing facilities and space for gathering within the old's walking distance. It will become the center of community welfare as a possibility of community welfare activities based on exchange of multi-households.
