Buckling-Restrained Brace(BRB) is a new Brace system, where the steel core is encased by steel tube which prevent the steel core from buckling under compressive force. The previous research and tests were performed for low rise braced frame and the BRB components and their results showed good structural behavior. In this study, 3, 6, 9-story BRBFs were designed and the inelastic analysis was performed by DRAIN-2DX. The 3-story buckling-restrained braced frame, concentrically braced frame, and moment resisting frame were designed and the pushover analysis was performed. To study the behavior of various buckling-restrained braced frames against the earthquake, the timehistory analysis was performed for buckling-restrained braced frames. Two seismic design categories were selected and buckling-restrained braced frames were designed against only earthquake and both earthquake and wind. Then the behavior of the frames were analyzed. In addition, the buckling-restrained braces were applied in two systems, building frame system and dual system. The difference of two systems were checked by inelastic timehistory analysis.
