There is member of young poet who tried new modernism poetry movement at the time of liberation ; confrontation and confusion. Understanding 1950's - liberation period - on the line or modernism poet, movement of 'Sinsiron' members represented as 『New city and chorus of citizen』 is important.
Two courses of modernism immanent in 'Sinsiron' had refracted during Korean War. The realistic poet movement pursed by Kim, Byung uk couldn't help being ruined because most of poet members went to North Korea. Technical poetry movement leaded by Kim, Kyung-lyn and Park, In-hwan joined with existential sense of nihility and consequently, settled down into the world of excessive self-consciousness indeed, it was impossible to do any kind of realistic essay movement under the after war circumstance.
However, even it we gave some significant to authenticity and experimental attitude, consciousness which should be harmonized with poetry, anti-historic and unrealistic limits of 'Whobanky' need to be noticed. As the 'Whobanky' came into the world in opposition to realistic modernism at the liberation period, it is because that 1960's poetry started from reflection on 1950's. Technical modernism has been lied on dialectic route to repossess the actual critic Modernism.
