The purposes of this study are to develope the equipments and to improve the working methods for increasing productivity and for reducing the horticultural worker's load, when shipping their products.
Harvesting, selecting, packaging processes of a agaric producing farm in Yongin, Kyoungki Province were analyzed. And workers' subjective symptoms fore and after working were investigated to evaluate the workload. A lot of inadequate postures causing Farmer's symptom were observed, and lacking of adequate arrangement of workload seemed to lead low productivity in process. Although most of the works were performed by middle aged women, there was a little consideration for their physical and physiological properties in work design.
The working methods were improved to reduce the workload of middle aged women workers, and the workload were rearranged efficiently to increase productivity. Also, some ergonomic designed shipping equipments were developed and systemized. As a result, up to 15-30% of productivity increasing were expected in every work.
