The issue of nationalism in the history education is not a simple theme. The history teachers think that the goal of history education is to improve 'the pride and capacity as Koreans who live in the 21st century as they learn the course of various historic developments for the history of nation'.
A series of Chinese Jingoism that studies and arranges the neighbor ethnic-minorities including "Northeast Asia Project" of China makes us hurt our mind. Also, Japanese strategy of militarism and hegemonism continues to progress very delicately. However, it never seems to be desirable phenomena because it leads to the confusion to the discourse related to the "History Distortions" shown in the reorganization of restrict order in East Asia, that is the discourse means that the criticism of nationalism should cover the identity of Korean through the history. Nevertheless, this researcher is wondering if it proceeds to the theory of abolishing the nationalism and dissolving the history a lot.
The "History Distortions" by China and Japan need to be united beyond the differences of thought To solve the problem of nation it also should grope for the solidarity with the North Korea. Also, it needs to oppose firmly to the movement of justifying the rebirth of hegemonism and militarism, and try to construct the peace under the coexistence for East Asia.
It is true that the history teachers are embarrassed to arrange the problems of nationㆍnationalism in the field history education through "History Distortions" as well as its confusion. The researcher thinks that the "History Distortions" can be properly educated as such efforts and studies are connected with the field history students. This researcher is to emphasize the history education for the co-existence, cooperation, and peace regardless of standpoints in each country.
