The experimental analysis was conducted to figure out the behavior of oil/refrigerant mixture in evaporating process by changing the evaporating pressure, oil concentration and quality then the void fraction model was built with these results.
The experiment was conducted to get the data on void fraction under various test conditions. The experiment parameters were the evaporating temperature, oil concentration and quality of the oil mixtures of SUNISO 4GS and R-22. The values of parameters were that the evaporating temperatures were 15℃, 25℃, 35℃ and 40℃, oil concentrations were 0%, 5%, 7%, 11% and 13%, the qualiies were 0.1, 0.3, 0.5 0.7 and 0.8.
The void fraction was calculated by measuring the mass of the superheated refrigerant gas in the test section after the valves at the inlet and outlet of the test section were closed. Then the void model was obtained by using these results. The void fractions were decreased with increasing the oil concentration and the correlation of the void fraction model was modified by considering the
oil concentration.
