In general, one of the terminologies that prescribe this age may be Pluralism. This Pluralism has special qualities, namely, relativism. Therefore, we feel a necessity to express more neutral words which could advocate "Poly-religion". We live in a so-called Poly-religious age which means a coexistence of multi-religions. So, we live in society that is difficult and asserts absoluteness of any specific religion. Due to the fact that every religion is relativised, we are in situations that are difficult to portray the uniqueness of Christianity. Christianity can be observed differently compared to other religions. We may find an analysis in a systematic theory's aspect in a South Korean church compared to an evangelical strategy in a missiological aspect. This research however lacks in the biblical theological aspect.
This purpose of this article's is to depict the principle for the evangelical strategy in the Bible. We may think of the most suitable model for St. Paul in Athens. Because St. Paul in Athens was surrounded by Epicureans and Stoic philosophers that were in a similar situation as in the present. St. Paul's preaching in Athens was a contextualized sermon. He adequately did an audience analysis. He drew the people and identified himself with the gospel.
Today, we live in poly-religious society. Some sermons overtly compromise these situations. The others entirely ignore the situation and self-satisfied proclamation. We need to contextualize sermons to poly-religious settings. People who hear the gospel within a pluralistic society states that every religion is the same. We do not agree with their views, but we can use their logic for evangelizing them. If they think that every religion is the same, a door of an opportunity to evangelize them opens. We may convince them by stating: "If you think that Buddhism and Christianity are not different then how about coming to church and hearing the gospel. You did not choose Buddhism since every religion is the same as you have said. I disagree with the pluralism theory. I have not chosen Buddhism, but you have. Since you believe in the pluralism theory, you may become a christian as myself. We find this model in St. Paul in Athens
