Ganggangsullae heads for open synthetic art structure. In order to make a digital record of Ganggangsullae traditions, we must proceed with a classification of the relevant information. To do this, the cultural contents of the performance were divided along a gradation into three separate categories, small, medium and large. For example, the contents of songs, details of how to sing, place, clothing and hairstyles, is contemporary in nature and subject to a horizontal analysis of materials. Other parts of the performance, such as rhythm, gesture, form, and dance are treated in a vertical manner and as such are analyzed and processed in a historical sequence. Based on this system of both horizontal and vertical analysis, each meaningful factor is classified as either the small, medium or large .Once this classification has been completed, it is important to provide meaningful discussion on how this can apply to today's culture and society. In order to reach the people of modern Korea, the important thing is that everybody be close to the practice and traditions of Ganggangsullae. Fortunately the open-structure of Ganggangsullae allows it to easily adapt to a computer environment. The basic features of a digital preservation of Ganggangsullae will encapsulate the spiritual values and culutural image through efficient media techniques.
