In the middle of 1960's, the first absorption chiller/heater system showed up in Korea but the systems had not been emphasized since the first appearance of the absorption chiller/heater, therefore, the actual production of the system was negligible. But in the middle 1980's, the system has started to develope sharply since the energy source was changed from petroleum into diverse sources such as natural gas due to unstability of supply petroleum cost and extension of domestic gas supply. Recently, absorption chiller/heater which capacity is more than 30RT using H₂O/LiBr as refrigerant-absorbent was developed for market and the base skills such as design, manufacture, operating and administration have been set up. This paper carried out the experiment of parts in double effect absorption chiller/heater and performance of each parts compared with theoretical performance. When performance of part in double effect absorption chiller/heater is inferior to theoretical performance, the reason is researched to progress performance of part in double effect absorption chiller/heater.
