Report Errors
This project studied a new heat pump system utilizing the Peltier effect for cooling and electric potential generation through Seebeck effect (Thermoelectric Convertion System). The major objective of the study was to prove the baseline concept through experimental studies. The important results from the first year study included design and fabrication of a laboratory-scale heat pump and generation system.
The cooling capacity of the heat pump system was 0.25 ton of refrigeration. and preliminary testing results showed the system COP of close to 0.3.
