The paper investigates that the wall which is a compositional element in the architecture transforms according to the surroundings, adjusts architectural form or interior-exterior space and adapts buildings to the context around. The site of the buildings is not always in ideal condition and shape. So a lot of buildings don't keep formal shapes and transform into atypical plans. In the process of transformation the wall plays an important role. Transformation of the wall seeks for accordance with urban structure, creates geometrical exterior space, keeps an regular compositional order and perfection of the interior space and makes a proper condition concerned with the environment and direction. This is resulted from accomplishing two aspects at the same time, which are perfection of architectural composition and unification of urban shape. After modern architecture the architecture puts emphasis on the composition of mass and volume and most of buildings become isolated buildings as objet. But some architects who say importance of urban context try to be in accord with environment by transforming walls.
